EDA CapitalConnect Limited is a dynamic start-up company in the process of implementing innovative ideas in the development sector. The company is a subsidiary of EDA Rural Systems and sister organization of Micro Credit Ratings International Limited (MCRIL).
We are currently looking to recruit an Associate who will be primarily responsible for management of the platform, and outreach to potential social enterprise and investor members. The Associate will gain exposure to the global market for funding to social enterprises, and will have the opportunity to interact with organizations working across social sectors such as microfinance, community health, education, green technology, livelihood promotion, and human rights.
The Associate will be based at EDA CapitalConnect’s office in Gurgaon, India.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations

Manage and coordinate maintenance of the platform with a team of website developers to ensure smooth operations, and assist in the development and implementation of strategic improvements to the website
- Produce and disseminate quarterly market updates and regular email updates to EDA CapitalConnect members.
- Liaise with EDA CapitalConnect members: answer queries and concerns, troubleshoot difficulties with using the platform’s features, and assist with registration.
- Provide consultative support to new EDA CapitalConnect members: assist in identifying member organizations’ key strengths and weaknesses, and improving their business plans, and construct outreach plans to engage with the members of CapitalConnect.
- Develop and manage information management systems – effectively store and analyze
organizational data, member website usage, and behavioral trends.
Outreach
Promote the growth and reach of EDA CapitalConnect through various activities including:
- Identifying and communicating with social enterprises and investors who could benefit from using the CapitalConnect platform.
- Helping to develop and implement marketing strategies that focus on specific geographic regions and social enterprise sectors.
- Attending local and regional conferences as required.
- Assist in producing and disseminating marketing materials.
- Presenting EDA CapitalConnect upon request to potential members or partners.
Management
- Recruit and manage interns as needed to assist with operations and strategic research opportunities.
- Expand network of interns and feeder institutions.
- Additional activities as required.
EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years of management and operations experience, preferably in the fields of development, finance, or information technology. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
- A command of the English language; Hindi is strongly preferred, other languages encouraged.
- Website Development experience is preferred.
- Proven project management skills.
